Tippecanoe County Open Show Rules
CALL BEFORE YOU HAUL! Please see Facebook: “Tippecanoe County Open Show” for the most up to date announcements.
Office Fee $3 per Horse/Rider Combo
4H Rules Apply
Appropriate Tack and Attire Required
4” Sleeve, Jeans, and boots required for contesting.
No tank tops or ball caps.
No striking horse in front of cinch.
Helmets recommended, but not required.
70% Payback to 4th Place
15 Entries Required for Added Money
JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL
Lead Line/Assisted Rider ineligible to compete in any “non-assisted” classes at the same show.
30 Second Gate Call WILL BE ENFORCED. Please pay attention and be ready. PARTICIPANTS NOT MEETING GATE CALL WILL BE SCRATCHED WITH NO REFUNDS.
Class entries close 2 classes in advance.
Horse/Tack Stalls available: $20ea with $20 cleaning deposit. Deposit will be returned upon checking out with a board member. Stall must be returned as found.
Valid driver’s license required for all checks. $25 returned check fee.
“MYSTERY CLASS” will be picked morning of the show and will run between the conclusion of the morning show and prior to contesting TIME PERMITTING. Choices may include, but are not limited to, apple under the chin, egg and spoon, catalog race, etc.
Participant must pick up all earnings by the time the show office closes at THE NEXT SHOW unless prior arrangements are made within 30 days, otherwise your earnings will be considered a donation to the club.
NO Overnight Camping
NO REFUNDS
Dogs allowed, must be leashed at all times. Please pick up after your animals.
Concessions available on grounds.
Tippecanoe County Horse and Pony is not responsible for accidents, personal injury, or loss of property. 
No smoking in the barn.
No alcoholic beverages on property.
Tippecanoe County Horse and Pony reserves the right to cancel, combine, or add additional classes.
Anyone who shows discourtesy to the judge or officials will be asked to leave the show grounds and may possibly barred from future competitions. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.
No exhibitor may be tied, buckled or fastened in or on any part of the saddle in any manner or by any means while on show grounds. This includes but is not limited to string, rope, Velcro, etc. Equipment that attaches the rider to the saddle or horse in any way is prohibited unless specifically allowed in the class guidelines (i.e. rubber bands in contesting.)
Horse deemed unruly or dangerous will be asked to leave.
Anyone found to be mistreating/abusing an animal will be asked to leave the grounds and may have the appropriate authorities contacted. Anyone who believes they have witnessed abuse or mistreatment should notify a board member or official immediately.

Under Indiana Law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
